Russian Culture
Three
things that are important to Russians are art, literature, and architecture.
One of the most popular things is ballet. The famous dance Swan Lake was
composed from a Russian composer named Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Russian
nesting dolls are world renown for their artistic expertise. Russian nesting
dolls usually have at least six dolls inside each other. The designs on them
are usually a girl in a traditional outfit. Two of the most famous building in
Russia are the Kremlin and St. Basil’s Cathedral. These two buildings are
magnificently crafted. The main language in Russia is Russian, but most people
speak English and a variety of a hundred different languages. Seventy five
percent of Russian people are Orthodox Christian, five percent Islamic, and one
percent Judaism and Hinduism.
I think the most important part of Russia’s culture is art. I think this because it gives them something to take pride in. Pride also drives a recollection of the old great Russian Empire. Russia wants to become the strong nation it once was so it does not appear as if it can be bullied. This is what has moved Putin into his nations limelight – the reestablishment of a new Russian Empire.
